2009 Club Events
February
2009 Baseball Banquet on February 3rd,
featuring Coach Dave Van Horn
|
For the 2nd year in a row, our Baseball Banquet had to be
postponed for a week, due to bad weather.
Former Coach Norm DeBriyn represented the Razorback
Foundation at the event. Approximately 125 attendees
heard Head Razorback Baseball
Coach Dave Van Horn speak about the upcoming 2009 season,
the players and the exciting schedule of games the Razorbacks
have at Baum Stadium this year.
The club donated $4,500 to the Razorback Foundation for the
baseball program in 2009.

2009 Football Banquet on April 20th,
featuring Coach Bobby Petrino
|

The Northwest Arkansas Razorback Club's 2009
Football Banquet, presented by Arvest, featuring Coach Bobby Petrino was held on Monday, April 20th at
Bentonville High School. The
approximately 350 members and guests in
attendance enjoyed a meal catered by Whole
Hog Cafe and listened to Coach Petrino's
overview of Razorback spring football, as
well as his insight on progress of the team
and various individual players.
In attendance in addition to Coach Petrino
were Harold Horton, Director - Razorback
Foundation, Chuck Barrett, U of A
Broadcaster, Sean Rochelle - Asst. Director
- Razorback Foundation, Miss University of
Arkansas, Miss Northwest Arkansas, numerous
U of A pom and cheerleaders, Anthony McAdoo,
Sr. Director, Arkansas Alumni Association
and attendees from the Northwest Arkansas
chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association.
The club
has donated $15,000 to the Razorback
Foundation for the Razorback football
program in 2009.

8th Annual Razorback Celebrity Golf

Razorback fans who participated in the
club's 8th Annual Razorback Celebrity
Scramble on July 17th in Bella Vista to
raise funds for U of A athletic
scholarships.

Inaugural "KICK-OFF THE
SEASON in the Gardens" held
August 22nd, 2009

Thousands of Razorback
fans turned out for the Inaugural KICK-OFF THE SEASON in the Gardens,
presented by Bank of the Ozarks and hosted by the NWA Razorback Club,
the NWA Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association and Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority on Saturday, August 22nd.

Inaugural "Southwest
Classic" game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX
|
Club members took advantage of discounted club hotel rates,
reserving over 100 rooms for the inaugural Southwest Classic
game between the Razorbacks and Texas A&M held on October 3rd at
the new Cowboys Stadium.
